MUNCIE, IN (WCRD Weather) – It’s that time of year again! As spring comes back to east central Indiana, so does Severe Weather Preparedness Week. The WCRD Weather Team will be working all week to bring you information about what to do during and how to prepare for severe weather, with information airing each night during Live at 5 and with a severe weather specialty show to air at 5:30 pm on Friday.

To kick off the week WCRD Forecasters Balint Szalavari, Cody Blevins, and David Siple took time to explain the role and the importance of severe weather outlooks and watches. Many people still do not know the difference between a watch and a warning and what to do during each. For more information about how to prepare for severe weather when an outlook or watch is issued listen to their report below.

Tomorrow’s topic will be severe weather warnings, so be sure to listen in to WCRD News Live at 5 or check back on WCRD.net for more information!
