Tuesday: 40% chance for rain
Wednesday: 90% chance for rain
Thursday: 80% chance for rain (snow possible)
Friday: Partly cloudy
Tuesday will have a 40% chance of rain after tonight’s shower end. Mostly cloudy to overcast skies will dominate all day, along with strong winds reaching upwards of 20 miles per hour. Expect a high of 56 throughout the day, and an overnight low 43 degrees.
Wednesday will bring more rain into Muncie. Make sure to have your umbrellas handy all day, as these showers are expected to start early morning and last into the evening. Current models are showing a 100% chance for rain. Combine this with winds over 20 miles per hour, and it will call for a yucky day. Temperatures will be moderate though, with a high of 60 degrees.
Thursday will see temperatures fall drastically, to a high of only 41 degrees. There is an 80% chance for rain to carry over from Wednesday. There is also discussion for the possibility of snow even on Thursday. I personally do not think we will see snow, as the temperatures forecasted for the periods snow is expected as going to be above the freezing point of 32 degrees, so if this ends up being the case, we should see rain rather than snow. This is still several days out so the closer we get the more accurately we’ll be able to forecast Thursday’s weather.
To finish off the week, we’ll finally see a break from the precipitation, with partly cloudy skies and a high of 49 degrees.
