Wintry weather system to give way to warmer temperatures

Tonight: A ***WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY*** will go into effect from 10 PM tonight until 10 AM Wednesday morning. We look to start having snow maybe as early as just before midnight tonight, then a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain will occur overnight and into daybreak. Then, everything will changeover to rain by mid to late morning, and scattered showers look to continue into the afternoon. We will get down to around 29° for the low with breezy winds out of the East at around 10 to 20 mph.

7-Day Forecast: After we get through Wednesday’s system, temperatures will rise into the mid 40’s by Friday with dry conditions. Saturday will be on the mild side with highs approaching the mid 50’s with rain likely throughout the afternoon. An isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out Saturday night. Rain may continue into early Sunday morning, but then it will become windy with partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper 40’s. We will kick off the new work week dry with highs in the upper 30’s, but rain chances may sneak back in by next Tuesday.
