Record Heat Comes to an End

After seeing record highs in the 90s for three consecutive days, the heat is coming to an end. Tonight will still be warm and humid, with lows in the lower 70s. Tomorrow will still feature a taste of summer, with highs in the lower 80s. A few showers are possible during the early morning hours, especially in the northern portions of the viewing area.

Friday is when changes really go into effect as a cold front brings in a much cooler and drier airmass. Highs will drop into the 60s and lows will fall off into the 40s.

The weekend looks to feature a brief warmup as another weak front passes through late Saturday into early Sunday. This will bring some rain chances during this timeframe.

Next week looks to be mainly dry as high pressure returns to the midwest. Temperatures will be seasonably cool, with highs in the 60s.
