Late Fees Are Returning to the Indiana BMV

Indiana – For many Hoosiers, paying late fees to the DMV may become a reality again

Those affected include individuals with expired driver’s licenses, permits, state ID cards, new vehicle registrations, and title transactions

This comes on the heels of the DMV’s contribution to the fight against the Corona Virus through the waiving of administration fees.

Those who may need to resolve issues with expired paperwork will be able to do so in any Indiana BMV as all branches resumed walk in services on June 15.

One service, the driving skills exam, is still unavailable.

Those who had their exam cancelled will be contacted early July to reschedule.

New appointments will be offered beginning late July.
