Warming trend continues this week with lots of sun post thumbnail image

I hope you weren’t expecting winter quite yet, because it seems that it will still be a bit of time before we get that dreaded 4 letter S-N-O-W word. In fact, we will see temperatures back up in the 70s this week and next!

WCRD Evening Brief 11/2/2020

First, let’s start with tonight. We will remain chilly tonight, as we will get down into the low 30s, with a small potential for frost once again! We will see clear skies, and winds diminishing through the night as well.

Evening Forecast for 11/2/2020

Then, after tonight, we see the warming really begin. Lots of sun, and upper level ridging will provide sunny skies through nearly all this week. We see temperatures soar into the 70s by middle to end of this week, and remain there at least through the next 7 days.

7 Day Forecast beginning on 11/3/2020

We see this shown at the end of this 7 day period and into the time after that, on this Climate Prediction Center graphic. This indicates that locations in red are very likely (90% probability) to see temperatures above average from the 8th to the 12th. There is a very large swath of much colder air that will remain over the western part of the country, and we will not have to worry about that at least for another week or so.

Climate Prediction Center’s 6-10 Day Temperature Outlook from 11/8 – 11/12

Warmer weather is on the way, so don’t put away those shorts quite yet!
