MUNCIE – The impending winter storm has caused Ball State University to close its campus.

According to a mass email from Ro-Anne Royer Engle, the Vice President for Student Affairs, and Alan Finn, Vice President for Business Affairs, the university will shutter the campus on 7 a.m. on Thursday.
All courses on February 3rd will be held online and nonessential personnel will be asked to work remotely.
However, many campus operations will still be in effect. While Housing offices close for the day, residence halls will remain open along with their front desk operations. University dining services will maintain their dining hours, this includes the Student Center.
The Health Center will also be open. However, the Quick clinic, Women’s Clinic, and Physical Therapy offices will close.
Recreation Services is also anticipated to remain open in the midst of the campus closure.
As for transportation, the shuttle busses and Charlie’s Charter will not be active.
Students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to subscribe to Ball State alert text messages and rely on bsu.edu for updates involving the campus closure.
The campus is expected to reopen on Friday at 7 a.m.
