Muncie, IN – Ball State’s Department of Special Education has announced a new scholarship for graduate students.
However, there is a catch.
Students must belong to a marginalized population and main a 3.25 GPA or higher.
According to a press release, the “inclusive Excellence Scholarship” will offer two things: financial support and promote diversity.
The scholarship was funded by the Avis Foundation, Inc.
“A large part of our mission is to support organizations devoted to improving quality of life in communities through education,” Avis Executive Director Marty Songer said. “It is our hope that this new scholarship fund will encourage graduate students to use their education to improve communities, especially those who have been marginalized.”
