Yesterday at approximately 2 pm Ball state’s internet servers were shut down.
The cause? A potential intrusion on the university’s campus-wide system
According to an email from Loren Malm, Vice President for Information and Technology and Chief Information Officer, the university was able to take preventive security measures by shutting down the campus internet
Malm believes that after review, no valuable information was compromised.
However, precautionary measures are being put into place.
